stock market gets back to business in a sign of normalcy in new york city. but there are new problems created by super storm sandy. good afternoon. >> first up today, gray skies over the eastern seaboard gave ato sunshine today, but the dark mood over parts of new york and new jersey persists. the death toll up to at least 50. more than 6 million homes, including 4 million in new york and new jersey, remain without power at this hour. president obama got a firsthand look at the damage today. >> the stock exchange running on generator power came back to life. the mayor gave a thumbs up and rang the opening bell to the sound of cheers. >> and more troubles. this is the scene in the coastal community of seaside heights, new jersey, where hundreds of homes were knocked off their foundations. >> and this is the scene near bayhead, new jersey, a community under water there and cut off as the atlantic ocean merged with another waterway. homes, once million-dollar homes, now worthless. we get the latest from new jersey and jay gray. >> reporter: good evening. this is the kind of deva

out there as you saw from our city cam and sunshine to our increase in clouds and know these clouds will push rapidly into the area. first thing tomorrow morning by 9:00 a.m., we're already partly cloudy across the area. by noontime, mostly cloudy and those showers, some scattered showers they'll push through rather quickly. best chance between 2:00 p.m. and about 8:00 p.m. tomorrow. a lot of those rain showers will hang out, though, for the afternoon across southeastern maryland and that's exactly where i think the spot is for sunday in terms of showers hanging out during the afternoon, too. so, for sunday, we're going to see, so the widespread rains come through and then by late in the day, southern maryland and areas down through southeastern virginia but sunday looks as though we're going to get quite a bit of rain in here. it's going to be a bet one through the day. about a quarter to maybe half inch of rain and a gray day and, again, a mighty chilly day. we'll go from 78 degrees on saturday with just a 30% chance of showers to a 60% chance of showers all through the day on sun

-itude. he's in the park for the first pitch forecast. >> really, cannot wait for tonight. just amazing what's going on here in the city, of course. as far as the weather's concerned, there's a big issue as far as the temperatures are concerned. probably not as much for the players as for the fans. last night, the temperatures a little on the cool side. but tonight, being a night game, no sunshine, winds gusting between 20 and 25 miles an hour, the temperatures are going to start to fall here pretty quick. let's show you what we're dealing with out there. 62 degrees at the airport with the winds out of of the northwest at 18 miles per hour, but gusting to 25 in some locations. that is ushering in some cooler air. look to the north and west, only in 950s. 55 in hagerstown, 52 right now in winchester, down to the south and east a little bit warmer, 68 right now down to pax river. we're going to see the cooler air make its way in throughout the night. but starting our game time, as far as the weather's concerned, i think we'll see clear skies, rather breezy conditions and down to a
